Lunch @ Haein-sa

Daegu - Young Jin and I had a fruitful meeting with Hana-IT.  They are good and ernest people.

After meeting, they want to bring me to Haein-sa.  This is the most famous temple in South Korea and it houses 'Tripitaka Koreana" which is a the 13th century collection of woodblock carvins of the Buddhist scriptures and the oldest and most complete edition of the Buddhist canon all in Chinese characters.  This has been recognised as an UNESCO World Heritage site.   Ancient Koreans and Korean Royalty uses chinese characters in their books and  writings.

About 2hrs of smooth driving to our lunch before ascending the mountain.   This restaurant is very unique as they serve primarily ingredients from the mountain and the food is very fresh.

Kimchi - fermented for many months - taste different

Korean wild vegetables - tasted delicious

Wild Mushrooms

Korean pancake with lots of spring onions

This is the only meat dish - think it's pork...

This is the Korean restaurant
