Half Moon Bay

Half Moon Bay - We checked out and move to our next location @ Half Moon Bay.   Joe has invited us to  his house to spend a night - Boy's Night Out.   The journey from Pleasant Hill Bart station to San Bruno Bart station was long and tiring. 

We went to the Mall next to the Bart station to have our lunch.   From there we journey via taxi to Joe's place.   I called the taxi company and shortly a taxi, we were packing our luggage into the car boot when another taxi came to us and called my name saying that he is the legit driver.  He called those drivers as 'Gypsy drivers' or illegal taxi operation. 

Joe brought us to the beach near his house - what a beautiful sight...

Loading ourselves with Junk food

Walnut Creek - We never had so much junk food in a week, maybe after we are back home we will detox.   We came across a new fast food restaurant - Wingstop; selling all kinds of chicken wings.  We ordered 3 different types of chicken wings basket.

with free flow of soft drinks.  The soft drink vending machine is so cool with so many selections of soft drinks.

Walnut Creek -  Three of us playing pool at Messa somewhere in Walnut Creek, California.   It was fun as we were being hustled by Lesley.

Fun @ Cafe Live

Seoul -   We walked across the car park to the beer garden with a live Korean band and had another round of beer.   This is what happens after many rounds of soju and beers.  I had a great time with my Korea friends.  We were just clowning around with the hats and coloured wigs.

Eel & Catfish for Dinner

Seoul - For dinner, Ki-won brought Young Jin and I to a famous Eel and Cat Fish restaurant.   It was quite a distance to this location but the location was scenic with the restaurant setting upon the Han River.   Walking down the corridor of this restaurant, I was made known some of the famous actors and people that once had their meal at this restaurant. 

We were shown to our table overlooking the Han River.  We had BBQ Eel first as there were 5 of us, we had 2 stoves of 2 eels each.   The Eel was delivered pre-cooked and we had to BBQ it for a few minutes before we can eat it.  

Once the ordered is done, small dishes of appetitisers were brought to our table one by one and soon the whole table is filled up like for a King.

A very spicy dish and the taste of cat fish is a bit of getting used to.  It was an acquired taste for me.

Back to Seoul

Seoul - We caught the 11:15am KTX bullet train back to Seoul and was greeted at the station by Ki-won and Sang Yoon.  They brought me to Renaissance Hotel Seoul in Kangnam to check-in.  It was very nice of them to do so. 

As I was hankering for Bulgogi, we walked around a number of restaurants looking for Bulgogi and finally found one.   It was a different style of Bulgogi and very traditional using hot coals.

Lots of vegetables apetitisers which is very healthy.

Kimchi soup, oinions and salad....and of course Soju.  I love Korean food!

There is a brass exhaust outlet to take away the smoke...it was a delicious meal.

Clay Pigeon shooting in Daegu

Daegu - We travelled to a live firing range to shoot some rounds.   The live firing range was huge - indoor and outdoor clay pigeon shotgun.

When we arrived there were many people packed into the compound, fortunately they were leaving soon.    Paid the fees and I chose clay piegon shooting.

It was really fun and obviously very loud.  The Korean instructor standing beside me taught me how to shoot, aim and hold the shotgun; which is quite easy.   Extremely fun but only 10 rounds....
